Snowflake Soiree

Hello,  its Friday again, I can't believe how quickly these weeks are flying by.

I have had yet another busy week, in total I have taught 5 classes and done a workshop party at a friend's house.

One of the classes was at Running with Scissors. This is a lovely craft shop in Grimsby which is owned by my friend Tracey. This was the first time I had demonstrated at the shop and was overwhelmed by the number of people who attended. Although it was very busy we all had a very enjoyable afternoon with lots of laughter.  I am planning on teaching a Stampin' Up class monthly at the shop. Please contact me or Tracey at Running with Scissors to reserve a place. The next one will be Thursday 11th October 1 - 3pm

These are this weeks card classes. they are of a Christmas theme. The first one uses the triple layered technique with the brand now Snowflake Soiree stamp set in Baja Breeze and Night of Navy colours. The layered snowflake was created from the new Snowflake Flurry Bigz Die. This card technique can easily be adapted for other cards, such as birthday, anniversary, new baby etc.

For the second smaller card we  embossed the large snowflake stamp with versamark and heat embossed it with white embossing powder onto Pool Party card and then placed a glittered large Snowflake die cut on top. The sentiment is from the Joyous Celebrations stamp set

All the above are now available to purchase from the Autumn/Winter catalogue.

The last date for ordering from the Main Catalogue 2011/2012 and the retirement list is Sunday 30th September

Please contact me if you would like to place an order.

The brand new 2012/2013 is being launched on Monday 1st October. There are lots more pages in this catalogue with lots and lots of fantastic new items. You can buy the catalogues from me at a cost of £4.50 but if you place an order for over £45 within the first two weeks you will receive the catalogue for FREE.

As it is now the weekend  I think I will spend a couple of days chilling out and planning for my next classes.

Hi, I'm a little late in blogging but wanted to share the final two cards of our stamp-a-stack card class last Saturday.

For the first card I have used the lovely Dasher, stamped in soft suede, onto a sponged background of bashful blue, and lovely as a tree. The main card is Not Quite Navy.  Dasher is a beautiful stamp and I am so sad that it has been retired. Unfortunately it has now sold out, congratulations to all those who have purchased it.

Dasher, Lovely as a Tree, circle punch, top note die
The second card uses a combination of Pool Party, So Saffron and Lucky Limeade colours and stamped with the set of three trees from Polar Party. The trees were coloured in using an aqua painter. The card was finished with an edgelits embossing folder, scallop border punch and bakers twine

Hi there, what a fun week I have just had. I have just returned from a hectic few days in London with my husband, although it wasn't much fun for him, he was on a two-day course leaving me time to wander around at my leisure.I went to three  fantastic shows in total (Shrek, Mamma Mia and The Lion King) plus a visit to the ITV Studios to see the Alan Titchmarsh show being recorded. Of course there was also a little time for shopping!!!

Back to reality now and down to work.

I held the first of my three stamp-a-stack classes on Saturday with 10 lovely ladies and had a really pleasant afternoon. The feedback was very positive and most have booked again on to the next two. We made 10 cards in total, 2 each of the 5 designs. We were all surprised how quickly the time passed but we all completed within the alotted time of 4 hours.

These are three of the cards we made:

Bird Builder Punch, Bigz Scallop Circle, Delightful Dozen

Apothecary Art , Curly Cute, Itty Bitty Punch

NEW Snowflake Soiree, Beautiful Season
I will be back tomorrow to share the other two cards

Thank you for visiting my blog x

multi gatefold mini book

Hello there, this is the multi gatefold mini book which we created in our scrapbook class last Thursday evening.   I am repeating this class again this Friday morning from 10-12pm if anybody would like to come and join us

Very vanilla, crumb cake and early expresso coloured card and inks were used along with circle circus and cottage garden (which is retiring) stamp sets.  The front opening flaps were made from the scallop envelope die

Items on the retiring list are selling out quite fast so if there is anything you have been wanting that is on the list, please do not leave it for long as soon it may not be there

Friday, 7 September 2012

I have been very busy recently that I have forgotten to blog a few cards that were made at recent card classes

They were all made with the Bordering on Romance stamp set that was featured in the mini summer catalogue

The first two cards used pink pirouette and whisper white coloured card and some vellum to create the stunning parchment effect on the cards.  The image was stamped onto the vellum with versamark and then heat embossed with white embossing powder.   The image was then dry embossed with an embossing tool on the back very gently to create the 3D flowers. The  vellum was attached with 4 silver brads in the corners and  finished with sentiments from Petite Pairs

For the next card I used pool party, whisper white and lucky limeade, a beautiful combination of  colours. The flower image was stamped onto one of the framelits label collection with black stazon and coloured in with aqua painters. The pool party background was stamped in whisper white with one of the flowers from the set and a double bow made from lucky limeade organza ribbon placed in the top corner and again sentiments from Petite Pairs.

I will be back later with cards and a mini book made from this weeks classes.

Retirement List

It’s almost time for our current 2011-2012 annual catalogue to finish and there’s only one month left to order some products before they retire.

Below you will find the links to 2 retirement lists, the first one is the Stamp Set list and the second one is the Accessories list.

Some items have a reduction on them  so PLEASE hurry if there is anything you "need" on either lists as these do SELL OUT and once they are gone I cannot get them for you!!

My predictions for fast sell outs include: Punches, Retiring In-Colours (Poppy Parade, Pear Pizzazz, Concorde Crush, Blushing Bride and Peach Parfait) cardstock, inks etc and any Big Shot Dies – especially the Pillow Box.

Our current felt ink pads are retiring to make way for the new style Firm Foam ink pads. These are really juicy ink pads and great for even coverage with minimal effort!

Yesterday also saw the launch of the wonderful new Autumn/Winter Seasonal Catalogue.   It is packed full of gorgeous brand new seasonal products to inspire your creativity for Autumn and Christmas.

Inside this Catalogue you will find stamp sets which come with their own punch or Framelets to make cutting them out a breeze.  You will also find the new larger embossing folders, a gorgeous snowflake die, delicious new ribbons, gorgeous new papers and lots of things to make sparkling projects.

Also, please check out the bundles which save you 15% when buying co-ordinating products.
