Bigz Lattice with Scallop circle and fancy flower punches

Good morning and welcome back to my blog. I  have been very busy this week on the crafting front but unfortunately  I am unable to share anything I have created  just yet. However, I am able to share the cards we made in a couple of the classes last week

I used a colour combination of sahara sand, pink pirouette and always artichoke

The brayer was loaded up with crumb cake and rolled over the inside of the square lattice embossing folder. A piece of whisper white cardstock was placed in between the folder and run through the big shot. This is a technique I had not tried before and loved the effect it gave. I will certainly be trying this again with other folders.

The flowers were created using the Boho Blossoms and Fancy Flower punches and few pearl jewels for the centres. The Little Leaves Sizzlit die was used for the leaves. The sentiment is from Curly cute stamped in Always Artichoke.

For the next card we used the Bigz Lattice die to cut out the centre  and then stuck it back in the hole without all the little bits to create a lattice framework.

To make the flower we punched out 5 scallop circles,3 pink pirouette and two in crumb cake. They were spritzed with water to make them damp and each one screwed up into a ball. Scrunching up paper is still something I find quite hard to do, it goes against the grain! When almost dry, each ball was opened out and layered up and fixed together with a brad in the centre.  Each layer was manipulated and teased until a flower was formed. The leaves were punched from the Bird Builder Punch.

The lovely cross stitch at the bottom of the card was created using the new needlepoint border embossing folder. The sentiment is from itty bitty banners. A couple of the butterflies from the Papillon Potpourri set was stamped in crumb cake and pink piroutte.

Here is a landscape version of the card.
