All is Calm Christmas Decoration Finale

For the last class of 2014, I decided to move away from the usual cards, and make some christmas decorations for the home. For my shorter classes, we split the items into 2 sessions, but then I held two 3hr classes where we made all 3:-

1/ Decorated Bauble
2/ 4 crackers in a box
3/ Decorative tealight.

The decorated bauble uses clear plastic photo baubles which you can buy from most shops at christmas. The bauble is split in half and allows two photos or pictures to be made and inserted, with the finishing touch of some artificial snow........

These were the designs we made using the White Christmas stamps.

As the bauble spins around on the christmas tree you can view the two scenes, one on each side

The 4 crackers were made using the envelope punch board and All is Calm designer series paper.

We also made the box and acetate lid for them to sit in. The crackers can be used as pure decoration or filled with novelties/sweets to replace the usual crackers at christmas. They also make a great gift!

The decorative tealight was created with some silver glimmer paper and the retired festive flurry die and stamps. The candle was neatly disguised with some matching all is calm washy tape

This is my lost post before christmas, so once again a big thank you for all your interest and continued support whether it is as a customer, one of my Stampers 6 group members or class attendees during 2014 and I would like to wish you all a very Happy Christmas and a peaceful, healthy and prosperus New Year xxxx

Christmas Novelty Curvy keepsake boxes

The demand for these christmas novelty curvy keepsake boxes has been phenominal, ranging from orders of 100+ for a charity event, to a small handful to replace the usual christmas crackers for the dining table.

Over the past couple of months my daughter Leanne and I have been very busy making lots of boxes using the curvy keepsake box. We started with the Snowman, Santa, Elf and Penguin. In total we made well in excess of 200 boxes, which were filled with treat-size chocolates....yummy.

A friend liked them so much and asked if we could design a reindeer so she could use them as table favours for an upcoming charity ball.

We set to work on the design and used some gold shimmer card for the body and red glitter card for the nose. They finished up so cute, that we added them to the range.

Here are the 100 we made for the ball. Frightening, it reminded me of a Wallace and Gromit movie.....

Gardening box frame commision

Another Special order…….
Remember the Christmas and Baby box frames a few weeks ago?
Well I was approached recently by a very special friend to make a retirement gift for their gardener, in the same sort of design. The frame needed to feature the typical tools a gardener would use and include that personal touch of thanks.
Below was the finished article……

I used some of my Stampin' Up stamps to create the picture but the wheelbarrow, watering can and wellington boots were from my other stamp collection

I gather the recipient was very pleased with his present.

I am taking orders for personalised gifts, cards and boxes. Please contact me if you would like anything making for a special occasion, Christmas or Birthday present.

Endless wishes and white christmas slider card

Hi from France,
I never thought I would be making my Christmas cards this year in the peaceful surroundings of the french countryside in one of the main wine regions of Alsace. Well I am and have converted Paul's hotel room into a craftroom for that purpose. I also have the added advantage of the hotel being a SPA, to provide a well deserved break.

The main reason for coming here, was not the wine (although I have sampled a  few) but the fabulous Christmas markets I had read about and of course for Paul to visit and work at the Cristal site in Thann for a week.
This trip was on the back of a very hectic craft weekend, starting with a card class on Thursday at The Craft Cabin in Brigg and  my weekly class on Friday afternoon where we made the horizontal slider card below.

The slider can be pulled out revealing a different theme or picture telling a story!

and then revealing a sentiment at the end!

On Saturday I had the class to transform the muffin tin ,shown in a previous blog, into a reusable advent calendar. Using magnetic colour co-ordinated card, each muffin space (and surprise chocolate or gift) was masked with a Christmas symbol and unique number.

We even got to sample some dates (some for the first time) which Paul had brought back from Saudi Arabia.

The photo above shows the chocolates underneath the coloured magnetic covers!

I will be back soon with some more projects to share
