Free standing pop up card

Below is the latest project made at my card classes over the last couple of weeks, including the class at Running with Scissors last Saturday morning. These are free standing pop-up cards, that fold flat into an envelope, but then provide a very stable and effective 3D card.

At each class we made 2 different designs, based on the same principle.  The base can be decorated in the same style as the main card design, further enhancing the 3D profile.

We did some origami paper folding to make the shirt and ties. All the ladies enjoyed making them and were really impressed at how easy they were to create and they don't even need ironing.... We even added a little silver tie pin.

A ladies version of the card  using the peaceful petals stamp set from the spring/summer catalogue which will sadly be retired from this evening. The image was coloured in using blender pens in Wisteria Wonder, Pink Pirouette and Pear Pizzazz. The sentiment 'for you' is from 'round array' stamp set

Only 1 day to go until the new Stampin Up catalogue goes live!
