Your perfect day easel card and self closing box

Our kitchen is progressing really well but there are still lots of work left to do. Its a good job we have an extra day with the Bank Holiday weekend!

Here are a few pictures of the various stages

Ceilings fitted with plasterboard
Walls ready for plastering

Walls and ceiling painted and downlights inserted. Some cupboards have been fitted
Hopefully we will have a sink, hob and worktops by Tuesday next week and it will start to look like a kitchen!

Back to crafting, despite continuing with all the building work  I still held my weekly card classes.  Here are our makes:

An easel card with matching self closing box using the 'Something Lacy' stamp inked with sahara sand as our background paper for both projects

There were two options on decorating the card, either a sentiment in the centre of the circle suitable for

anniversary or wedding OR replacing it with a flower which turned it into an all occasion card.

Three different options of decorating the self closing box using the papers in a variety of different combinations.

There are several tutorials on You Tube showing the instructions for the self closing box

The new Stampin' Up! catalogue is going to go live on June 2nd so there are only 10 days left to purchase items from the current catalogue. There are still some bargains available on the retirement list. Please visit my online shop if you would like to place an order.

Have a lovely Bank Holiday Weekend xx

Moon lake, butterflies and house renovation!

What a difference a few days make! I have been very busy this week unfortunately nothing to do with crafting. Last weekend we were emptying cupboards, packing boxes and taking out our old kitchen units before the renovation work could start on Monday morning. The builders have knocked the wall out between the dining room and kitchen creating one large room. You dont realise how much we need our kitchen until there isn't one! We have created a makeshift area in our living room with a microwave and kettle, it takes me back to our caravan days with such a little area of space to work

Day 1 after removal of wall and ceiling
Despite all the work and chaos, I still decided to hold my regular weekly classes. Apologies to any of my ladies for the slight noise at times... I'm sure we also distracted them with our laughter and the odd crafting curse. I'm sure the end result will be worth it and provide a much bigger, better and brighter area to craft in. Anyway the plasterer is in this weekend, so almost all (Paul's promised me 😌) the loud noise and dust is out of the way and the new kitchen/dining (and craft area) will start taking shape.
Here are the cards we made a couple of weeks ago using the Moon Lake Stamp Set and the Butterflies framelits

I will update you on the progress next week

More shadow box frame cards

As promised in my previous blog I am sharing some more of the shadow box frame cards I have made recently in a variety of different designs

Can you believe the paper used for this card is actually stamped using the beautiful 'Something Lacy' background stamp using pink pirouette ink on whisper white card. I love this stamp and am very sad to say it is not going into the new Annual catalogue  and you will no longer be able to purchase it once the current catalogue ends. If you would like to purchase this stamp set please contact me before June 2nd

There have been a few babies born recently and I thought this design would be an excellent celebration card to give.

I made two different designs in both pink and blue colour combinations using the 'Something for Baby' stamp and framelit set.

I even made an envelope box to store them in using the envelope punch board and added a little decorated tag to the front

The inside got a little decoration too!

The weekly deals are now available until Tuesday evening. I will be placing an order on Monday if you would like to add anything to it, please contact me
