Sleigh ride box frame and snow place swing easel cards

Hi everyone, I hope you have all had a great time over the festive period. I have had a lovely break and spent time with the family, eats too much yummy food and received lots of gorgeous gifts. I am now looking forward to the New Year and awaiting the launch of the Spring/Summer Catalogue and Sale-a-bration promotion starting 5th January

In the meantime I am sharing the Christmas cards I made for my husband and two daughters. The idea for all these cards were inspired by Amanda at The Craft Spa

The first card is a box frame bendi card with stand using sleigh ride framelits.

The background was sponged with Blackberry Bliss and Night of Navy ink with a circle mask for the moon.

The brick wall embossing folder was used to decorate the front panel

The second and third cards are swing easel cards using the cute snow friends stamps and framelits bundle

A colour combination of basic black, smoky slate and bermuda bay was used on this card

Coastal Cabana and Whisper white colours were used on this card with a hint of real red and basic black

Don't forget that you can still order from the

There are still some bargains available until 4th January.

Finally, I would like to wish everyone a happy, healthy and prosperous 2016 and look forward to sharing with you lots of exciting classes and events coming up over the next few months

Sleigh ride bendi cards for Friends and Family

Merry Christmas Everyone!

I would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and to thank you for following my blog for another year.  Thank you to my loyal customers for choosing to shop with Stampin' Up!" via myself. and thank you to my class attendees for continuing to support my events and classes and for your company and friendship during 2015

Here are the cards I made which I sent to family and friends this year.

The cards feature the modern Christmas theme of snow, reindeers and santa sleighs which feel slightly alien at the moment, with the weather being warm and blossom coming on the trees... It feels more like Spring, than Winter.

I liked the 'bendi card' technique and made quite a few variations with different colour combinations for the sky but still used the same sleigh ride framelits and sentiment on each card

This design of card is ideal for posting as it lays flat in an envelope ready to assemble on opening (with instructions inside of course!)

The second card was designed with a couple of layers and a flower embellishment which made it more difficult to post so these were hand delivered!

Thank you for visiting my blog – I really appreciate your support and hope that some of what I post gives you some inspiration to create some great projects yourself

Butterfly basics easel desk calendar

Happy Christmas Eve to you all -  Are you all ready for tomorrow? I think we are, I am just doing a few last minute preparations and then a bit of cleaning!

For the last class before Christmas and a change from Christmas cards (hopefully they have all been sent) I thought we would make something to see in the new year... What better way than a 2016 calendar, that could also make a last minute extra Christmas gift!

The calendar we made was an easel style desk calendar, with a small drawer undereneath to hold them essential items such as note pad and pen or
 paperclips, drawing pins, stamps etc:-

Remember the Year End Sale has been updated with some more products and there are still lots of bargains, you can find them by clicking on the picture below

I would like to thank all my customers, family and friends for supporting my business over the past few years and wish you all a very Merry Christmas

Cozy Christmas diorama card

The last Christmas card we made in the class for this year was a special diorama card. I love to make diorama cards as they fold flat to go in an envelope but also will stand up to take pride of place on a mantle piece or card display! You can even add a battery tealight inside to light up the scene.

There were a lot of elements to making this card with lots of die cutting, embossing and punching

but we were all very pleased with the final result
The second card was a quick 10 minute make.

A combination of night of navy, tempting turquoise and blackberry bliss colours which were sponged to make the background and using a circle as a mask for the moon. One of the images were cut from the sleigh ride framelits and placed on the bottom of the card.
Each card was unique because of different mixing of the colours

These Sleigh Ride framelits are sadly not being carried over into the next catalogue on 4th January so if you haven't already purchased them and would like to do so, please place your order now from my ONLINE SHOP before its too late!

The Year End Sale has had a whole load of new products added today so there are even more bargains to buy, but hurry they are only whilst stock is available. You purchase these Sale items and all other Stampin' Up! products by hopping over to my ONLINE SHOP HERE

Sleigh ride luminaire

Last week I published a post on the vertical wall Christmas decoration/banner, using the winter wonderland papers, which we made in our Saturday afternoon class a few weeks ago. The second project we made in the class was a beautiful luminaire decoration, created from both the Hearth & Home and sleigh ride framelits. The decoration allowed us to install a battery 'flickering' tea light (supplied), giving it a real warm Christmas feel, without the risk of fire.....

We die cut 4 of the window frames using the Hearth & Home Thinlits Dies along with 4 window boxes from Night of Navy cardstock, 4 images from the Sleigh Ride Edgelits Dies from white card and  4 ‘window’s from vellum
The vellum 'window' was attached to each window frame and then the Sleigh Ride images where attached to the inside of each of the windows.

The window box pieces were scored  in half, and attached to the sides of the windows to make up the luminaire box

The festive flower punch was then used to create the flower decoration on top, using 12 medium petals and 2 twin petals and then glittered using the glue pen and dazzling diamonds glitter.

A battery operated tealight was placed inside. The one I used flickers like a real candle, and gives off a lovely glow.

I will be publishing a couple more posts before Christmas to show other recent projects. Watch out for these and don't forget the Year-End sale which ends on January 4th or when stocks run out.

There are still lots of bargains available, so don't forget to look over at my ONLINE SHOP and maybe treat yourself to a last Christmas goodie or better still get someone to buy it for you!

Best Wishes

Winter Wonderland NOEL banner - using hearth and home framelits

A few weeks ago  I was inspired by a frame card I saw on Amanda Bates website The Craft Spa. I loved the idea of using the winter wonderland papers and thought I would have a go and turn her card into a vertical wall Christmas decoration/banner. I made one for myself and then was requested by my lovely ladies to make one in class.

For some groups we completed it in one session and for others in 2 shorter sessions over 2 weeks. As always, now we are in the festive mood, it turned into more of a social event/party, with lots of cakes and goodies!

The banner consists of 4 sections using the winter wonderland DSP and very cleverly cutting the letters from die cut hearth & home framelits and a little stamping.

I supplied all the items (and more) required to make the banner in a party bag, to make it feel more festive. No it's not a 'little brown bag' from Bloomingdales...!
