Beautiful You and Nailed it

I have used the gorgeous new Beautiful You Stampin' Up! stamp set from the 2017 Spring/summer catalogue to make the following cards to share with you today.

I have teamed them up with the Floral Boutique Designer Series papers and paper pieced the dresses in the same/co-ordinating papers to get a variety of different cards

The beautiful silver metallic ribbon which is one of the FREE  products from Sale-a-bration when spending over £45, was wrapped around the bottom of the card.  The sentiment and one of the ladies from the set were stamped onto a couple of the oval stitched shaped framelits which are once again back in stock!

Another card made with the Nailed It Bundle for all those handy people in your life?

I have combined it with a strip of paper from the Urban Underground designer series and a piece of Dapper Denim which has been embossed with the Hexagons Dynamic Textured embossing folder. I die cut the square from the Stitched Shapes Framelits and stamped the screw, nut and tacks randomly from the stamp set to create a background for the screwdriver, hammer and ruler to sit on

Nailed it Pop and Twist Card

There are lots of pop and twist cards on the internet and I studied quite a few You Tube videos before attempting to make one of my own for my husband's birthday. Although they look very complex and intricate I was quite surprised at how easy they are to construct.

I showed the card to my class last week and they all loved the design and requested to make one too!

There were quite a few elements to the construction but we did it in stages and it all went smoothly.  The ladies were all very happy with their pop and twist creation!!

We created our own background paper by randomly stamping various sizes of card with the tacks, screw and happy birthday in smoky slate, basic black and delightful dijon inks

The tools were stamped twice onto delightful dijon and smoky slate coloured card, die cut and then paper pieced together.

Bloomin heart valentines and beautiful you

Last weeks theme was love and romance which I thought was very appropriate seeing as we were fast approaching Valentine's Day.

I am sharing our cards we made using the Bloomin' Heart thinlits die and a variety of other flowers and heart dies and punches

The ladies had fun creating their cards as I gave them various options on whether they wished to use all the flowers, hearts, bows and sentiment in their design.

They were all very unique and lovely and for those not wishing to send valentine's cards were ideally suited for anniversary, wedding and engagement

A quick card was required to finish the class so we used the dancing lady from the Beautiful You stamp set and co-ordinating sentiment.  The new watercolour pencils were used to colour in the hat and dress and some wink of stella to give it a little sparkle and a band of ribbon around the card

A very simple, but classy looking card  which can be completed in minutes

Dragonfly dreams part IIIand Lift me up

Here is the third part of the cards using the Dragonfly Dreams stamps and co-ordinating Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits dies

I cased the following card  from Pinterest as I thought the technique and overall finished effect was absolutely stunning and can be used in a variety of different colour combinations

Colour combination for this card is Mint Macaron, Island Indigo and Emeral Envy.  Each stamp pad was stamped a couple of times onto one piece of acetate and then spritzed with water to get the colours to combine and mix with each other. Using a strip of shimmery white card which has also been spritzed with water  place it on top of the acetate and carefully press down to transfer the colours to the card and then leave to dry and you will be amazed at the effect you have created!

Once the image was dry the dragonfly was randomly stamped on top in Emerald Envy and the spots in Island indigo.

The dragonflies were kept whole for this card with no fussing cutting!

Resist embossing with Stampin' Up! Dragonfly dreams

Another couple of cards to share with you today featuring the ‘Dragonfly Dreams' stamps and co-ordinating 'Detailed Dragonfly' Thinlits dies.

I am loving this set so much, I don't want to put it down as I seem to be finding lots of different cards that I want to create with it. These cards are part two in a series of three we have made in our recent classes showing a variety of different techniques

Resist embossing technique using white embossing powder and a background wash with aquapainters in wisteria wonder and blushing bride ink swooped across the card.

Large dragonfly was die cut in vellum and small dragonfly heat embossed with blushing bride embossing powder and die cut.

I really like this colour combination of this card in bermuda bay and mint macaron. A couple of the smaller dragonflies were die cut, separated and glued onto co-ordinated card and fussy cut around and placed onto stamped background with the dots from the same stamp set with dimensionals

The dragonfly dreams is available as a bundle in photopolymer for £42.25 which is a saving of 10% if they were purchased separately, and remember for every £45 spend you can choose one of 11 products for FREE during Sale-a-bration
