So Detailed Anniversary Card

My Mum and Dad have recently celebrated their 56th Wedding Anniversary!! What a fabulous achievement and send them all my love.  Here is the card I made for them.

An easel card using the So Detailed thinlits in Blushing Bride and Whisper white colours.

As the succulent thinlits were out on my desk I created three flowers using  a couple of the smaller dies layered together.

I love these succulent dies and am rather sad they are retiring from the spring/summer catalogue, but if you are quick you may still be able to purchase them before they go forever (142757)

window shopping boxes

I am sharing a couple of projects we made in the class before the Easter break using one of my favourite bundles at the moment; the Window Box Thinlit dies.

I gained the inspiration for making these boxes from Mitosu crafts and Jan B Cards and watching their You Tube videos and would like thank them for their excellent tutorials

Hexagonal base pop up card and hexagonal base box in So Saffron and Whisper White Colour combinations

We used the succulent framelits to make up the flower embellishment on top of the box

The hexagonal base pop up card folds flat for ease of posting

We filled the hexagon shaped box with shredded paper and a creme egg yum yum!!

Beautiful You with long dress gatefold card

I have another card using the beautiful you stamp set to share with you. One of the great things about this set is that you can play around with the images to create lots of different styles of dresses.

For the following cards, the bottom half of the stamp was masked off with a post-it note and the top half was then stamped with black stazon to create the top of the dress and with a black journal pen the lines from the waist were extended down to create a long dress.

The aquapainter was used with tempting turquoise ink to colour in the dresses and the three smaller flowers and a little wink of stella to make the dress sparkle.

Three larger flowers were die cut from the succulent framelits in pink and added as embellishments with a pearl in the centre

dragonfly dreams

Good morning and welcome to my blog today. The card I am sharing today features the dragonfly thinlits and a cutting technique

A piece of whisper white card which measured 9.5cm x 13.8 cms was sponged with three different colours: emerald envy, bermuda bay and wisteria wonder and blended together to create a background.

A die cut dragonfly thinlit in whisper white was glued to the sponged background in the centre. A pencil line was placed at 2.5cms  down each side of the piece of card missing out the dragonfly wings. This line was then cut to the bottom and around the outsite of the wings to the top edge of the card leaving a centre panel which was then layered onto some bermuda bay glimmer card and onto a brick wall embossed piece of card

A little sparkle was added to the dragonfly wings with wink of stella

So Detailed and so in love

A lot of my friends and class members know my favourite colour is Pool Party so I couldn't resist using it along with very vanilla to create the following card.

The main card was in whisper white with pool party layered on top. This was randomly stamped with several of the smaller flowers and leaves from the so in love stamp set in pool party ink.

One of the lacy panels from the so detailed thinlits was die cut twice and stuck together on one of the edges to form a circle. A piece of ribbon was wrapped around to cover the join/edge and stuck down to the card

A scalloped oval in pool party card and the co-ordinating sized oval in very vanilla from the stitched shape framelits was die cut.  A few flowers and leaves were stamped around the outside edge of the very vanilla oval and a sentiment stamped in the centre.
The card was finished off with a stamped butterfly.

Avant Garden one sheet wonder class

Before Sale-a-bration came to a close I ran a class using the Avant Garden stamp set and the one sheet wonder technique to create these two cards.

I chose Peek-a-boo Peach, So Saffron and Pool Party colour combination and randomly stamped several of the stamps from the Avant Garden set onto a sheet of Thick Whisper White card. This card was then cut into several pieces and used to decorate the two cards

There were a few pieces of stamped card left over and I challenged the ladies to take them home and design a card themselves.  This is the card I made with my spare pieces

Balloon Adventures Pop Up Bundle

The card I am sharing with you today uses the Balloon Adventures Stamp and Die bundle from Stampin' Up! If you buy these two products together you save 10%. The stamp and die set also co-ordinates with the Balloon Bouquet Punch.

It looks like a normal birthday card from the front but when opened has a pop up bundle of balloons to surprise and delight everyone. Pop up cards always create a wow!

Balloons are very popular and this set is so versatile and is suitable for both the young and old when creating your papercrafting projects

Colour combination for the card is Sweet Sugarplum and Pool Party.
I have used two different reels of washi tape on both these cards for different looks

Beautiful You and High Tide Coasters

Occasionally I run an extra workshop on a Saturday which takes between 3-4 hours to complete creating a more complex project and one that we wouldn't have time to finish in a regular weekly class.

A couple of weeks ago I ran a workshop to create four stamped ceramic tile coasters, with four co-ordinating notelet cards and envelopes in a handmade box

I gave the ladies a choice of  either the Beautiful You or High Tide Stamp sets to use on their coasters.

The demand for attending the class on the Saturday was very high, so much so I put on an extra one on the Monday afternoon!

Altogether over the two days 18 ladies attended the workshops and they all thoroughly enjoyed themselves and had so much fun.

A picture of the tables all set up displaying the decorated paper bags containing their kit and instructions

The ladies were stamped with Black Stazon onto the ceramic tile and then coloured in with Sweet Sugarplum Stampin' Write Marker. The High Tide was stamped with Stone Gray Stazon. The tiles were then sealed with a protective spray.

Each kit contained enough foam pads for placing underneath the coasters so they do not mark the furniture

A pizza style box was made to hold all the tiles and notelet cards and finished with cream satin ribbon and a tag.

The four notelet cards using the Beautiful You stamp set

The four Notelet cards using the High Tide Stamp set

I was so inspired with making these tiles, I looked through all my stamp sets and have created a few more different ones They make excellent gifts for family and friends (or to keep for yourself!)

I am planning another Saturday workshop in May using the So Succulent flower dies, i will post more details on my blog very shortly
